Shine Ever Brighter

Very early in the morning women went to the tomb. It was likely still dark out, or perhaps the first gleam of light shown on the horizon. As they morning progressed the light continued to intensify. The light of understanding was also dawning. Throughout the day the awareness that Jesus was alive became more clear -- the resurrection became as apparent as the crystal blue horizon.
The is progression of light and our corresponding clarity of faith is what the writer of Proverbs referred to:  The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know what makes them stumble. (Proverbs 4:18-19)
We see more clearly the will of God and the path of righteousness. As we grow in our faith God's Word reveals deeper truths. Our view of God intensifies as his holiness, love, mercy and grace become more evident to the eyes of our hearts.  This is the walk of faith as we move into the full light of day -- the fullness of Christ. Unfortunately, those who choose to walk in darkness stumble and fall, until they are lost in the dark -- lost in their sinful ways.
The light of God's presence shines upon us. His glory radiates upon us and is reflected from us:  And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:18)
May the full light of day shine upon us.
Reach for encouragement. To his glory.
