The Company You Keep

There are some clichés that work from generation to generation. One is "You are only as good as the company you keep."  Sound familiar? Have you heard it from your parents? Have you said it to your children?
Do you know there is a biblical basis for your comment?
Here is the Bible's guidance in regard to friendship:  My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he whose walk is blameless will minister to me. No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence. (Psalm 101:6-7)
Hang with the faithful whose walk is blameless. Keep your distance from deceitful people who speak falsely. Good words for today and tomorrow's generations.
Let your friends know how much you appreciate them, their character, and your friendship. God has sent them to you to help you guard your heart.
Reach for encouragement. To his glory.
